Shalini Ramanathan
General Manager of Development, North America
20 years’ experience in renewable energy project development and commercial deal structuring. Shalini is General Manager of Development, North America, leading Private Energy Partners’ US development business and responsible for advancing the company’s utility-scale renewable energy project pipeline across the region.
- Shalini first joined Quinbrook in 2020 and now leads Private Energy Partners’ US development activities, working closely with Quinbrook and PEP leadership, renewable energy portfolio companies and strategic counterparties to originate, develop and execute projects, drawing on extensive experience in project development, commercial strategy and power purchase agreements.
- Shalini has more than 20 years of experience in US power markets and a proven track record of delivering over 2GW of renewable energy projects representing more than US$2.5 billion in transaction value.
- Prior to joining Quinbrook, Shalini spent 13 years at Renewable Energy Systems (RES), where she served as Senior Vice President of Origination, leading project development and offtake origination activities. She previously held roles with CAMCO in Nairobi, Kenya, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Washington, DC.
- Shalini holds a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honours Program from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University.
