Rahul Ramanan is a global energy storage leader with over 12 years of experience across development, engineering, and asset strategy for utility‑scale battery energy storage systems and played a central role in the deployment and commercialization of multi‑gigawatt‑hour storage portfolios globally.
- He is responsible for overseeing techno-commercial and engineering aspects of energy solutions in all Quinbrook investments.
- His role includes shaping standardized technical frameworks, supporting investment and M&A diligence, and advancing long‑duration energy storage solutions to support grid reliability and high renewable penetration across global markets.

- Developed roadmap to transition from project procurement to standardized solutions across RWE’s portfolio globally and establishing MSA’s with key battery suppliers.
- Led design engineering teams to successfully achieve approvals for more than 2GWh’s of storage, with 1GWh already commissioned and operational, worth over 500 million USD.
- Supported RWE’s corporate and project M&A diligence globally and was the energy storage lead for the successful ConEd merger in 2023.
- Held senior technical and commercial roles at Fluence Energy, AES Energy Storage, Black & Veatch, and Schneider Electric and was a founding team member at Fluence Energy.
- Master’s in engineering management from George Washington University and Bachelor’s in electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) from Kerala University.
