Matt Hallam

Matt has more than 25 years’ experience in Australia’s energy sector, with expertise across the full lifecycle of energy generation and storage projects, from origination through to decommissioning. He leads the Private Energy Partners team in Australia, overseeing project development, development services and construction management from origination through financial close and project delivery.

• 16 years at Origin Energy over various roles including Head of Technical Support & Development, Asset Operations Manager, Due Diligence Lead and Integration Manager.
• Held senior consulting and power station management roles with Tier 1 constructors, government-owned corporations, and private energy companies.
• Matt has deep experience in generation fleet management, construction management, project conception and development, commercial sourcing and contracting as well as acquisition and sale processes.
• He has experience in BESS, Wind, Solar, Hydro, Pumped Hydro, Gas Turbine as well as Coal generation and repurposing of closure sites.
• Matt is passionate about delivering sustainable energy infrastructure that is reliable, affordable and delivered on time.
• Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy and certified Engineering Executive via Engineers Australia.
