John C Sadler

Senior Director - Origination

John is responsible for leading greenfield development and M&A activity across wind, Solar PV and BESS opportunities. With more than 20 years in the renewable energy sector, John brings deep experience across origination, development, construction and asset management in Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.

  • He was formerly Head of Development at Roaring 40s (Hydro Tasmania) and has held senior roles with ACCIONA, Squadron Energy and Ark Energy.
  • John has acted as Owner’s Representative on major wind projects including Capital Wind Farm (NSW), Tararua Wind Farm (NZ) and Burgos Wind Farm (Philippines), overseeing construction and delivery. His development track record includes Snowtown, Karara, Musselroe, Waterloo and MacIntyre Wind Farms, as well as the recently commissioned Aldoga Solar Farm.
  • Over his career, John has originated more than 10GW of renewable energy projects across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, including the PEP Woodstock, Miriam Vale and Wyora sites.
  • He holds an NZCE (Mechanical), is an indentured mechanical tradesperson, and is completing a Bachelor of Business Studies.
