Head of Construction and Operations

Head of Construction and Operations leading the safe delivery, construction and operational performance of Quinbrook’s Australian energy infrastructure project portfolio. He has more than 25 years’ experience delivering complex energy, infrastructure and major capital projects across Australia, US, South America and Mexico.

  • He is responsible for translating development projects into successfully constructed, commissioned and operational assets, ensuring best-in-class execution across construction, operations, commercial delivery and project governance.
  • Prior to joining Private Energy Partners, Andrew provided project management and consulting services across Australia’s renewable energy sector, leading the construction, commissioning and contract execution of more than 500MW of renewable generation and firming assets, including battery energy storage systems and gas-fired generation. Through roles with AJD Management Consulting, Infigen Energy, Origin Energy and Iberdrola Australia, he developed extensive experience in EPC delivery, stakeholder engagement, procurement, and the negotiation and execution of OEM, balance of plant, transmission and gas infrastructure contracts.
  • Earlier in his career, Andrew held senior roles with Siemens Power and Gowdie Management Group, supporting major power and infrastructure projects across Australia. His experience includes providing forensic construction claims expertise on a A$1 billion industrial project and leading operational delivery requirements for New South Wales’ A$2.4 billion prison infrastructure program, building extensive expertise across power generation, renewable energy, gas infrastructure, electrical transmission and major industrial capital projects.
  • Andrew is recognised for his commercial leadership, contract strategy, governance capability and ability to deliver complex energy infrastructure safely, efficiently and at scale.
  • He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Quantity Surveying) and a Master of Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology.
